Old Oak Path

There is this great property on Tybee Island that has some ancient gnarled oaks lining a pathway to the beach.  Scenes like this used to be much more common.  Tourism and construction are wonderful for the economy but sometimes not so much for old beach properties.  I wanted to capture this little bird's eye view in case it too, disappears one day.

This painting has a special glow -- it's stunning! Its sad when development destroys the beauty of a place like Tybee Island.

Thanks Linda! Change is inevitable, I guess. I think that's why we feel compelled to capture the landscape with a camera or a paintbrush.

Lovely light in this. Nice warm feel to it.
