"old fishing buddies" ....

It has been a hectic month.  I am in the middle of six commission paintings, all in various stages of completion  (or not!) and have had a lot of shows to put up and take down over the last several weeks.  Add to that lots and lots of baseball for my son and a daughter moving back home from college with a 9 week old lab puppy!  I took some time out this morning to finish this painting (while the puppy, Georgia, was napping) and am happy to have something new to post!

And this is Georgia.  She is the newest addition to our family, although she is just passing through.  Georgia is an Assistance Dog for the Blind-In Training.  My daughter is raising her and we will get to watch her grow up for the next couple of years and then Georgia will leave us for her new life as a guide dog.  She is such a sweetheart.  I know that she will be someone's everything one of these days.

"morning baby"....

I was rearranging my paintings in my studio, and I found this little gem. This guy needs a new home!  It is one of my favorites and although it is on my website, I have held it back for myself.  I do love to paint cows and calves.  They have such wonderful blocky shapes and soulful eyes.  This one is framed in a wonderful Randy Higbee Frame and ready for a new home. Thought it would be just the thing to brighten up someone's spring day!
