Wishing You A Happy New Year!

Happy New Years Eve!  I can't believe it's the end of 2013!  It has been a mixed bag of a year....as all years are, I guess.  As I look back over the year though, it's amazing how the lows fade out of view and the highs take over.  The miracle of the human mind!

I am thankful for so many things this year.  So many of my dreams for my art were answered, although not exactly when I wanted them to be.  I always dream big and everything seems possible.  My optimism causes problems sometimes when it collides with reality.  But how will you ever know, if you don't try?  I think the big lesson I have learned this year is that no matter how hard you work, things come when they are supposed to....not when you want them to!

I am going to work harder in 2014 on my patience and faith that all things come in due time.  Remind me of this in February would you?  I will have already forgotten it by then!

I wish for you, a bright and wonderful 2014 and a sense of calm and peace as you look back over 2013.  A letting go and a looking forward.  Happy New Year and thanks so much for hanging out with me this year!!

"windowshopping"...

I cannot believe it is December!  This has been such a busy year.  Especially this fall!  Between shows I have been painting like a mad woman...... Just delivered three paintings on Wednesday to a new gallery for me, Atelier Gallery in Charleston, SC.  I am so excited to be there.  It has long been one of my favorite galleries.  The space is gorgeous, the light is fabulous and the artists I get to hang with can't be beat!  Here is one of the paintings I delivered.....it has that festive, holiday feel to it, don't you think?
