"sparkling" ...Day 25

Here is another painting from the first day it snowed....Friday.  The big oaks in my neighborhood form a wonderful arching canopy of limbs over the road, which is lovely in any season.  But when it snows, it's almost like going down a sparkling secret tunnel.  Just magical.

This one was a tough one to paint small.  I wanted much more canvas to say what I wanted to say.  It took several revisions to simplify it.  But that's the way it is with painting, right?

5" x 7" oil on panel

I will be teaching a plein air workshop in Edisto Island, SC in March.  If one of your New Year's resolutions is to learn to paint plein air or just paint better, come join me!  We will paint, learn, laugh and have fun.  Click Here for more information! Edisto Island Plein Air Workshop

Bonjour chère amie,

Je suis sous le charme de cette belle peinture de neige ! Les couleurs sont magnifiques. Vous avez rendu la voûte dont vous nous parlez... Il n'est pas simple de peindre la neige ! Bravo, je vous félicite.

Gros bisous ♡
